About
What Archë means.
Archë, pronounced AR-kee. From the Greek ἀρχή: origin, first principle, essential nature. Your relationships start from your first principles — what you actually want.
Archë is a way to talk about what you want in a relationship — with a partner, a friend, chosen family, anyone. Every relationship gets designed by the people in it.
How it works
Three steps.
Answer the cards
Cards about what you want, what you need, and what doesn't work for you — across every part of a relationship.
Share your code
Your code is yours to hand out. You pick who gets it — and a code is all it takes to connect.
See your overlap
Tomï shows where you and a connection line up, where you'd want to talk, and what to talk about first.
Make it an app
Archë belongs on your home screen.
Open Archë, then add it from your browser — it lands on your home screen and opens full-screen, like any other app.
iPhone
- 1Open Archë in your browser.
- 2Tap the Share button.
- 3Tap “Add to Home Screen,” then “Add.”
Android
- 1Open Archë in Chrome.
- 2Tap the three-dot menu.
- 3Tap “Add to Home screen,” then “Add.”
Your design
Designed by you.
Relationships are designed by the people in them. Archë gives you the language for every shape a relationship can take — romance, friendship, chosen family, and the ones without a name yet. Needs get their own answers, separate from someday.
Built private
Private by design.
Your answers live between you and the people you connect with. You can export or delete your data whenever you say so.
The cards draw on relationship research — the Relationship Anarchy Smörgåsbord (Lawrence & Orr, updated by Maxx Hill), Gottman, PREPARE/ENRICH, Fair Play, Marisa Franco's Platonic, Angela Chen's Ace, and more — credited in full inside the app.
